IREIMO Laboratory Governance Bodies

Organization of Governance

The laboratory LIREIMO is structured according to an organization that ensures the coordination, effectiveness and transparency of its research activities. This organisation is based on three main decision-making bodies, as well as specific committees to accompany certain missions.

1. The General Assembly (AG)

Composition: includes all permanent and associate members (as observers).

Role:

  • Deliberate on all the lab cases.
  • Validate the rules of procedure, annual balance sheet (moral and financial) and budget.
  • Elect or re-elect the director of the laboratory and the assistant directors.
  • Set up the Laboratory Council.

2. The Laboratory Council (CL)

Composition:

  • Ex officio members: Director, Deputy Director, Research Team Leaders.
  • Elected members: a team representative, elected by their peers for two years, renewable.
  • A doctoral representative, elected by his/her peers, is also present.

Role:

  • Define research directions and laboratory management strategy.
  • Coordinate activities between research teams and develop the biannual action plan.
  • Review partnership projects and membership applications.
  • Follow the supervision of doctoral students and scientific production.

3. The Laboratory Directorate

Elected by the General Assembly

Role:

  • Provide scientific, administrative and financial management of the laboratory.
  • Coordinate activities and ensure the proper dissemination of research results.
  • Represent the laboratory at academic and external levels.
  • Convene and chair meetings of the Laboratory Council.
  • Draft and present an annual scientific and financial report to the General Assembly.

4. Specific Committees

  • Communication Committee: defines and implements the laboratory's communication policy (internal and external), to enhance its visibility and enhance its scientific productions.
  • Scientific Committee: piloting the development of research lines, analysing partnerships and validating projects, in conjunction with teams.
  • Doctoral Follow-up Committee: provides guidance, training and follow-up for doctoral students through workshops and seminars.

This organization, structured aroundGeneral Assembly, Laboratory Board and the Directorateensure effective management and optimal coordination of research activities. It also promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and ensures the academic and socio-economic impact of the work carried out.
